Making A Good Case For God Playing Politics With Hurricanes

hurricanes

These days, any news of a hurricane with the potential to strike Florida can cause my (typically non-superstitious) mind to consider prophetic implications.

…That’s why, when I came across this graphic comparing this year’s hurricane paths with Florida’s 2000 county-by-county presidential voting results, I couldn’t help indulging in some cosmological speculation. On the dark side, I felt this data confirmed Florida as a genuine extension of the Devil’s Triangle (and, confirmedly much more weird than California.) On the faith-based side, it instilled in me the tremendously calming belief that God (with apologies to the Christian right) must be a Democrat.
