President McKay

Ever since I saw this shot of Tony Hayward’s swagger in early April, I’ve marveled at the arrogance of BP management.  This portrait of BP America President Lamar McKay with that chin jutting out captures the quality perfectly during yesterday’s House Energy and Commerce Committee with top oil CEOs. Nice angle also, the black-and-white photo/indictment proving a more eloquent backdrop than a Code Pink sign.

As I tweeted, by the way, I also appreciated seeing how Chairman Markey shamed the honchos for showing up at the hearing with virtually the same emergency plan. Too bad the image — captured in this screen grab — didn’t make the newswire.

Update: And, for a more vindictive take, check out this image the LAT published of the BP Prez. Taken at House hearing, feels like McKay under the light in a police station.
