Iowa Pic of the Night: Newt's Poltergeist

Gingrich Iowa Caucus Final AP

These shots — one each from the major wire services — could as well have been outtakes from a low budget political horror movie. I hope Romney has some Mormon magic to ward off that eye of Newt because the man was that icy mad last night and itching for revenge. If the caucus proves irrelevant for who squeaked it out, Newt’s ire over the next few weeks could do serious damage to “the Massachusetts Moderate.”  Bottom line, though: the onslaught of $14mil in Super PAC negative ads would turn any monster into that much bigger of one.

And then, the following photos are honorable mentions:

Gingrich railed against the negative ads that analysts credit with bringing down his polls numbers, but will continue his campaign after a fourth place finish in the caucus.)
