The Horror

Here’s another shot that’s been pinned to my desktop. The caption reads:

Supporters of Republican U.S. presidential candidate and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush knock on doors of the auditorium to gain entrance to his formal announcement of his campaign for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination at a kickoff rally in Miami, Florida, June 15, 2015.

Seems like a Hitchcock still, doesn’t it? And a commentary about the inscrutability of Bush. Or, an internal iciness. Or a nightmare. There’s also the sense it’s about something catching up to him or the man having to account for something (like all those cultural issues he’s been played both sides of? or Dubya’s legacy?) This also speaks to campaign transparency in the age of Citizen’s United. Harder on the partisanship, you might also see nobody home.

From MSNBC’s Week in Pictures, June 13-19.
