Gulf Coast Struggles With Oil Spill And Its Economic Costs

PORT FOURCHON, LA – MAY 24: BP CEO Tony Hayward’s (C) shoes are checked for oil after he walked an oil-stained beach on May 24, 2010 at Port Fourchon, Louisiana. Hayward said that BP is doing everything possible to clean up the massive oil spill still gushing into the Gulf of Mexico. Officials now say, however, that it may be impossible to clean the hundreds of miles of coastal wetlands and islands affected. (Photo by John Moore/Getty Images)
