Hold It Right There

It’s hard to take this picture too seriously when The Times turns the article headline (“Jeb Bush Ponders Future, Not Knowing What It Holds”) into a metaphorical joke.

What Jeb’s future holds is not much if he’s permanently associated with that “damn the torpedoes” brother of his.  And the rest of the pic?  Given how thoroughly this administration has been staged, this campaign shot — with its studio audience feel and Bush’s humongous “Let’s Roll” banner (oops, I mean U.S. flag) — is already looking overly histrionic and dated, like a still from some old game show.
