PowerPoint (or, Afghanistan in one Simple Picture)

Today’s visual buzz from Washington involves this not-so-new but now infamous Powerpoint slide created by one General Stanley McChrystal.  Putting an exclamation point on an Afghan campaign that is only logical until it isn’t, Stanley’s accompanying slam dunk quote is:

“When we understand that slide, we’ll have won the war.”

If you’ve been following The BAG however, you know this chart or this quote is not unique at all.  He’s another instance, for example, of what Liz Bumiller calls Stan’s “spaghetti.”
