Her AK

If it was just a guy firing straight into the air, this never would have made the wires. So it’s not just a freedom-fighter shot, but one more picture conveying the message that the larger Middle East democracy movement has a gender-equality element to it. And yes, the photo does has an SNL vibe to it, the rag-tag nature of the Libyan resistance having a special appeal — at least, from safe distance.
