Saif Wins the Internet

He’s looking pretty trim from just a few months ago, the CNN anchors were musing, noting how the junior Gaddafi had dropped a few pounds and grown a beard. Yes, came the response from the correspondent on the ground. People here tend to lose weight in fasting for Ramadan.

To the extent politics today is dominated by celebrities — the badder the better — the captured, un-captured Saif Ghadafi vanquished the rebels tonight on cable news and won Monday’s internet.

The TV lights go on and Saif’s all “gee whiz” and smiles with the “V” for victory (though there’s some contrast here). He’s a star.
