We Are All Georgians Now. (At Least, We Were Last Month)

Mccain Saakashvili

Two weeks ago, Schmidt/Palin/McCain would have killed to hold a sit down with their Georgian hero, Saakashvili.  At this point, however, with Wall Street burning and McCain under fire for his lobbyist/CEO connections, this encounter at the U.N. looked more like changing the subject.

It really did seem, by the way, that Palin was staring at Yushchenko’s face.

Update:  In retrospect, McCain’s look of distraction (in this, and many of the other newswire pics) seemed to telegraph his campaign suspension stunt which he executed afterward.
